100 and 200 mg capsules

Guaifenesin is category mucus drugs that used for symptomatic treatment of cough due to colds, upper mild respiratory tract infection or adjunctive therapy in pharyngitis, bronchitis and sinusitis.
Basic tips for proper use of drugs :
•    This medication is prescribed for your current condition, therefore do not use in matches or do not recommend it to others.
•    If you forget a dose of medication, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's almost time to take the next turn, the prescribed dose and not take two comparable consumption.
•    In case of severe allergic drug guaifenesin Do not take it.
•    Swallow capsules with a glass of water and avoid chewing.
•    If after 7 days of treatment with the drug,  continued to cough or fever, rash, persistent headache, or sore throat, see your doctor.
Precautions :
Before taking this drug, consult with your doctor or pharmacist in the following cases:
•    Any type of allergy to guaifenesin or other drugs, protective materials, colors and gelatin
•    In the case of pregnancy and lactation (if need be taken in accordance with the doctor.)
•    If a patient needs surgery or emergency treatment requiring anesthesia or local anesthesia, consult with doctor before any action.
•    Use of this medicine in 12 years old children with chronic or persistent cough (like asthma) or cough with mucus, must be only with the doctor's Recommend.
•    for children under 6 years, It is recommended to use other pharmaceutical forms such as syrups.
•    High doses or prolonged use of the drug may increase the risk of kidney stones.
•    This medication causes drowsiness. Therefore the driving and working with devices that require full awareness, must be avoided.
Administration and Dosage :
Use in adults and children over 12 years :

One or two capsules (200 mg) every 4 hours, and the maximum daily consumption is 2400 mg of drug per day.
Use in children 6 to 12 years :
One or two capsules (100 mg) every 4 hours, and the maximum daily consumption is 1200 mg of drug per day.
Use in children below 6 years old :
Usage foe children under 6 years, is not recommended and it is better to use other forms of drug.
Use in the Elderly :
One or two capsules (200 mg) every 4 hours used per day. The maximum amount of the drug is 2400 mg every 24 hours.
Use in pregnancy and lactation :
This drug belonging to Group C and its use in pregnancy is allowed prescribing physicians.

Poisoning :
- In case of drug overdose, it is recommended the patient be transferred to medical centers.
Side effects :
Each drug, along the desired treatment effects, may cause some unwanted side effects. However, all these effects cannot be seen in one person but in case of any side effects talk with your doctor.
-    Central nervous system: somnolence, dizziness and headache
-    Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite and diarrhea
-    Others: rash, urticaria and pruritus
Drug Interactions :
 In case of simultaneous use of anticoagulants, increas risk of bleeding by inhibition of platelet activity .
Maintenance :
- keep drug below 25 ° C, and  away from light and moisture and stored in it's original pack.
- Keep away from the reach of children.
- Do not use expired medicines.
Dosage forms :
Soft capsules of 100 and 200 mg Guaifenesin is released  in the form of a drug.
