Indication
Clamox is belonging to wide-spectrum antibiotics that consists of penicillin (amoxicillin) and a beta-lactamase inhibitor (clavulanic acid).
Clamox can be used in ENT infectants (otitis media, sinusitis, and tonsillitis), Respiratory tract infections (bronchopneumonia, bronchitis), genitourinary tract infections (pyelonephritis, urethritis, cystitis) and also dental infection, skin, soft tissues, bones and joints infections.
Basic instructions for proper use of drug
•    This medication is prescribed for your current condition, therefor do not use it in similar cases or do not recommend it to others.
 Before taking this medication with your doctor in the following cases
•    In the case of sensitivity to penicillens, cephalosporines, penicillamine and their derivatives, Griseofulvin and also sensitivity to other materials such as foods, protecting materials and colors
•    In the case of diseases such as allergies, diabetes, gastrointestinal disease and a history of gastrointestinal bleeding
•    Before testing blood sugar
•    In the case of Simultaneous taking with other drugs
•    In case of liver and kidney disease
Side Effects
•    Each drug along with it’s desired therapeutic effects, may cause some unwanted symptoms. Although all of this symptoms are not seen in one person, but in the case of following symptoms, consult with a doctor: Itching, hives, wheezing and difficulty breathing, headache, dizziness, irritability, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and rarely Hemolytic anemia have been reported with use of this drug. The effects of the drug resolve over time and along matching body.



Suspension Preparation Method
•    Shake the bottle several times until the powder particles separate from each other. Then add boiled and cooled water to bottle until marked line in two stages and Shake well each time until obtaining a homogeneous suspension. Take zaxime suspension with a module inside the box consumers or a module that supply the needed amount to patient (5mL).
•    Rinse the module before and after using.
 Maintenance
•    Keep drug away from moisture and light and below 30°C (preferred 15-30°C) and keep in original pack.
•    The prepared suspension can be maintenance for 7 days at room temperature and 14 days in refrigerator after preparation.
•    Do not use expired drug
•    Keep away from children reach.
 Administration and Dose
The dose of drug is determined by doctor. It is recommended that be used suspension form in children. The usual dosage of the drug are as follows:
•    Babies up to 3month:  15mg per each kg body’s weight (Amoxicillin base) per 12 hours.
•    Babies greater than 3 month and children up to 40 kg weight:
Severe infections: 22.5g mg amoxicillin per each kg of body’s weight per 12 hours or 13.3mg amoxicillin per each kg body’s weight per 8 hours.
Mild Infections: 12.5 mg amoxicillin per each kg of body’s weight per 12 hours or 6.7mg amoxicillin per each kg body’s weight per 8 hours.
Along with using this drug, note the following cases:
•    Take the drug at regulate intervals and complete treatment course.
•    Do not take the drug more than prescribed dose.
•    This drug can be taken with food or empty stomach.
•    If you forget a dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember, but if it is almost time to take the next turn, take prescribed dose and do not duplicate it.
•    If you do not see an improvement of symptoms within a few days, see your doctor.
•    For full recovery from throat purulent infections, treatment should be continued for at least 10 days to prevent the occurrence of acute rheumatic fever.


Precautions
•    In the case of any complications such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, sore mouth and tongue red spots on the skin grains jaundice symptoms, see your doctor and discontinue use of the drug.
Contraindications
•    In patients with allergic to penicillins and history of allergic to co-amoxiclave, it is contraindicated.
•    In patients with kidney disorders that creatinine clearance is less than 30 mL/min, it should be balanced the dose.
