The correct amount and
method of consumption:
The exact dose and method of
administration of this drug should be determined according to the patient's

antibiotic, but the usual dose of the drug is as follows.

The usual dose is 1 to 2 grams
intramuscularly or intravenously every 8 to 12 hours, depending on the type of
disease.
• In gonorrhea infection: 1 gram of
the drug intramuscularly and in a single dose.
In abdominal and uterine infections: 2
g of the drug every 8 hours intravenously.
• In urinary tract infections: 500 mg
intravenously or intramuscularly every 12 hours.
In bacterial septic infection: 6 to 12
grams daily intravenously. The dose may be reduced if the patient's condition
improves.
children:
The usual dose for children 6 months
and older is 50 mg per kg of body weight every 6 to 8 hours and the maximum
daily dose is increased to 200 mg per kg of body weight.
Direct intravenous injection: Dissolve
the contents of 500 mg vials in 5 ml and 1 g in 10 ml of injectable distilled
water and gently inject the resulting solution over a period of 3 to 5 minutes.
Intramuscular injection: Dissolve the
contents of 500 mg vials in 1.5 ml and 1 g vials in 3 ml of injectable
distilled water and inject deeply.
Intravenous infusion: Dissolve the
contents of 500 mg vials in 5 ml and 1 g vials in 10 ml of injectable distilled
water and re-dilute the resulting solutions with 50 to 100 ml of infusion fluid
such as injectable sodium chloride. Dilute 5 to 10% injectable dextrose, 5%
dextrose solution, 0.9% injectable sodium chloride, injectable lactate ringer
solution, injectable ringer solution, 10% modified sugar solution in distilled
water and 5% injectable sodium bicarbonate solution and administer according to

Warning:
• In case of allergic reactions, stop

Do not mix Ceftizoxime with aminoglycosides
for intravenous injection.
If intramuscular injection of ceftizoxime with aminoglycosides
such as gentamicin is required, these drugs should be injected at two separate
points.
In diabetics, injections of
cephalosporins can cause a false positive reaction to the urine glucose test or
